You are a Warrior!

Hey You-

Yes you. Guess what…. You are a warrior! Did you know that? I don’t say that lightly. I mean it whole heartedly. Life may have treated you badly. You may have been bullied. You possibly were: physically, mentally, emotionally, or even – sexually abused. You may have had a tragedy or two happen. You mY have a physical problem, or health isues… (maybe all the above.) Well I’m talking to you…. Yes, you….

Those experiences, or situations you have gone through don’t make you weak. They are not your fault, and God is not punishing you!

Mathew 9:10-13 <New American Standard Bible -NASB> Then it happened that as Jesus was reclining at the table in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and were dining with Jesus and His disciples. When the Pharisees saw this, they said to His disciples, “Why is your Teacher eating with the tax collectors and sinners?” But when Jesus heard this, He said, It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire compassion, and not sacrifice,’ for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.

Maybe you thought that God was mad at you, or you had bad karma… Well I want to set that straight…. Take a deep breath… This next part may be hard for you…

You need to tell others how you are feeling or when you are in need. If you don’t speak up and tell someone what’s going on. We can’t help you. Speaking out or asking for help. It takes great courage. Doing so it is important. PLEASE talk to some. Because- You matter, you are important, and you are loved.

It really angers me when I learn of people hurting others. Especially if it is physical or sexual violence. My mamma bear wants to come out and retaliate. I have been witness to some really bad people’s actions. It makes me cry for those who are hurt and hurting. Knowing how I feel about it, and knowing God loves us all <John 3:16> I can’t imagine how much more it pains God to see his children suffering an hurting each other.

If you have suffered from anything its not from God. <John 10:10> You are a survivor! You are a warrior!!! Use the trails you have been through to encourage and help others. Just being you and living your day to day life, you are an inspiration!

You are strong, you are loved and you are not alone! You are a warrior!!!

I’m back… I did a Vlog.

Hello  Everyone!

It has been a while. I know I missed you. Did you miss me? I have been taking a break from the online world for the most part. Other than some side projects, which I  will get into later.  I have been really bad and been on facebook more than this blog. I have a lot of backdating to do. (meaning I need to move things I wrote here.) Let us be real.  There is a lot I need to update and change here and elsewhere. I know not everyone uses Facebook, Instagram or social media.   Thus,  I will be working a lot on that and my books.

Moving on to the point of this post, I  did a vlog!  A video blog…  I have been practicing with a side project which I will tell you about next time.  Right now tho I would like to share this with you. This came from my heart and was really personal. It took several tries to finish and I was really nervous.  Here it is from the other blog and ministry I  am doing with people:

drihblogscreenshot

DeeplyRootedInHim.net

Every year or on my other blog I reflect on my life and I write about the growth I have been through. This year I decided to do something different based on the ministry we are getting off the ground. I  did my third official Vlog,  where I  am on camera speaking to you all. I was really nervous. I pray that me stepping out in faith really bless you all. I love you! You  Matter!  Don’t forget that…

Here are the references she mentioned in the video.

My Dad’s Heath….

Hello All,

“My Dad”

My dad is one of my biggest heroes. He would go to all my doctor heart appointments and act silly to keep the mood light. I have always tried to be a good daughter. [I’m not perfect tho. 🤣]

When I was a child and he worked swing shift, I would always make excuses to stay up and wait for him to come home. That became easier as I got older. Sometimes when he got home we woul all as a family go swimming under the stars. He has always strived to keep the family close and to be a good dad 👨 ❤

He is a kind man who works hard. He is always learning new things and creating new things, and inventing new ways to fix things. He is almost always willing to help others whenever he can. He never says a bad word about anyone. Whenever he got sick he would hide it if possible. He hardly ever showed weakness.

“A squirrel on the Wolf dad carved with a chainsaw”

In 1992 just before hurricane Andrew he had a heart attack. That was the first time we saw him really ill. I remember sitting outside the hospital door in Orlando while Hurricane Andrew passed over the state. Trying to entertain my sisters and not worry about my dad while mom was with him. That was a difficult task for sure. He refused to let us girls see him which was painful for us. Thankfully he survived and recovered.

“Dad and Rinley”

It wasn’t until December 2015 where he had a second heart attack and Flatlined. Thank God the doctor didn’t give up on Dad and he came to after 11 electro shocks. After that he had a triple bypass, a stent, and a defibulator put in throughout three surgeries, within the same week. He was subosoed to make a full recovery but he was still pretty weak. Because of a blood clot in his somach that caused issues getting blood to his leggs on top of a bad hip. That didn’t stop him from being as active as possible.

“Mom and Dad”

Then in 2018 he developed strep / cellulitis in his foot which turned into a some sort of vasular ulser. It took most the skin off the top of his foot almost causeing him to lose his foot. I won’t share the pictures I have here but possibly in a book in tbe futer. It was pretty gross at some points.

He became bedridden, all the doctors said there was nothing they could do that he should just prepare for the end. We had nurses and physical therapy coming several times a month. It really tested our faith. Dad had blood poisoning three maybe four times. He was on several antibiotics non stop. We didn’t give up tho, we kept praying!

“Jini and Dad.”

After months of his foot getting worse we finally went to see a second doctor who wanted to do a bypass surgery in his legs even though everyone insisted it would be a lost cause. They they proceeded to do the bypass surgery in his legs, they were pretty sure they would still have to amputate his foot later tho. But we kept praying and standing on the word of God. When reading the Bible out loud to him we came across a verese that we know God gave us for the trials we’ve been facing….

We claimed that over him and stood in faith. They kept insisting that his foot had to be taken, and maybe more. The day before the sugery, which we didn’t realize was scheduled they heard blood flow. So we asked them to push the sugery back and they agreed to push it back three days to see if there would be enough blood flow to save his foot. After the second day they canceled his sugery and he started a treatment that they use for burn victims. Called mist therapy.

“Jabber and another chainsaw carving of dad’s.”

After a month of treatment his foot was well to come home. I took him to a burn dr three timesca week untill he was well enough for a skin graft. When they did his first graph they also had to remove a some of the bone in his foot and big toe due to it being infected. But nothing to major. His first graph was promising tho not perfect but he needed a second one from his own skin from his thigh. Tho painful for sure he made a full recovery after almost a year of stress, fear, anger and pain!

Don’t Give up hope for a miracle. It may take a while, and may not come about the way we wsnt. But God is a Good! He is a loving father who gave us his son Jesus.

Don’t Give up hope and be strong. We may not understand the path we are traveling but it will be a path that will make a difference. 😀 God brings good out of all bad situations. I truly believe that and I fully trust God.

My dad never gave up, and he’s better, znd more active now tgen after his bypass surgery in 2015. He is one of my biggest heroes and I strive to be more like him.

“I Love my Dad”

God bless you today and always!

My First Book review Of  “God Supplies And Miracles Happen”

Wow, I just got my first official book review. I am so amazed that someone wanted to read it let alone review it.  The way she describes my book God Supplies and Miracles Happen really moved me. I am so touched. Thanks, Amiee Ann for your interest! I posted it below but you should go read it on her site along with all the other awesome reviews she has done.

Book review:   Of  God Supplies And Miracles Happen

Categories: Christian Living & Devotional, NonFiction, Religion & Spirituality, Self-Help & Motivational, Spirituality & Philosophy

“God Supplies And Miracles Happen is a poignant, moving and inspirational memoir that will take readers on a thought-provoking journey while entertaining them at the same time. God Supplies And Miracles Happen is written by author Amy Jane Sandberg and Amy throughout God Supplies And Miracles Happen will take her readers on the journey of her life from past to present. The journey the reader will encounter is at times heartbreaking because of Amy’s condition and the events that significantly impacted her life however it is also an uplifting book in which Amy will make you smile thanks to her positive outlook and inspiring passages. If you are a reader who is looking to read a memoir that is unlike anything you have read before and a memoir that is the perfect combination of inspiration, fact, and poignancy then God Supplies And Miracles Happen is the book for you and should not be missed.

God Supplies And Miracles Happen is written by the incredible Amy Jane Sandberg and in her book she shares her story and the many pivotal moments in her life. Amy ‘is the third person to have her heart completely re-built after being born with Truncus Arteriosus’ and in her book she shares all about this as well as the grace of God. Throughout the book, Amy will share how she had three strokes, has been in two comas and so much more and her story is incredibly inspirational and should not be missed book lovers.

God Supplies And Miracles Happen is a poignant, moving, and compelling piece of nonfiction that will help, inspire and captivate its readers from the very start until the very end. God Supplies And Miracles Happen is an influential, powerful book because it deals with the topic of Truncus Arteriosus and strokes and the subsequent emotions/impacts because of them. I believe that God Supplies And Miracles Happen will be the perfect read for those that have a heart condition or even have survived a stroke, disorder, condition or illness because Amy, although brutally honest about how she felt, still manages to inspire and inject positivity into the story. However, those that do not have a disorder, condition or illness will equally be able to enjoy the book and take away something from it thanks to the author’s wisdom and bright outlook on life.

God Supplies And Miracles Happen is an exceptional book not only for the author’s candor but also the information she has so expertly laced throughout the book. The information will help readers better understand Truncus Arteriosus and strokes and how it can affect your life physically and emotionally, and I believe that is really important because sadly these topics are not commonly discussed but they need to be so that no person ever feels alone.

Amy Jane Sandberg is a remarkable person for two reasons; the first is because she is honest and brave to write her story and the second is because she is an exceptionally talented author. Amy’s impeccable writing is a joy to read and flows beautifully throughout so that the reader will feel compelled to read non-stop. Amy is a pure literary talent, and so I applaud her for being so brilliant!

Overall God Supplies And Miracles Happen is an this insightful, informative, inspiring book and I would say if you are a reader who is interested in the topic of stokes and heart conditions and coming out the other side, then this book is for you and so God Supplies And Miracles Happen gets five stars from me!

Thank you so much for reading book lovers! I appreciate it so much, I love discussing wonderful books with all of you so please comment below and let me know your thoughts on God Supplies And Miracles Happen. Do you see yourself reading this book? Do you love the genre? Please let me know your brilliant thoughts below and I will be sure to comment back. redheadedbooklover.com/god-supplies-and-miracles-happen-amy-jane-sandberg/ Thank you so much again for reading! Goodbye for now book lovers, Amiee Ann”

Lack of communication…

Ever since I published my book and started working on many tasks. Unfortunately my blogs have been neglected as a result. I find that I post more on Instagram and Facebook then here. Bad me! I used to take hours and days to write posts I hoped would encourage you. I write to you because I want to make you smile.

Years ago, I tested writing blogs as a way to blow off steam, but I never be ended up posting them. I didn’t like how I sounded. I don’t find joy in venting. It always makes me feel worse then better. I know that I can be a brat at times. I was also told by some reader’s that they could tell the mood I was in with some of my works. Be when I’m upset, happy, or sad. Since then I’ve been careful what mood In in when writing. Especially when I have a target moodIwant to Express. I at times it causes me to hold off on books and blog till things get better. Unless it is useful for what I’m working on of course.

Life has been very busy. Not in the way I had hoped it would be. My dad’s health has keept my family and I on a rollercoaster of emotions at what feels like the edge of a cliff. I’ll go into more detailj about him in another time…

I started working on… Several books, projects and I’ve been getting little sleep. I am sorry for my absence as of late. I’m also sorry for the lack of communication, and depth in the recent posts I’ve been sharing. I still have several posts I will transfer over from Facebook and Instagram. (Eventually) When I get more time. I wish to expand on them of course. Alwa look atvposting on Twitter, IG , and Facebook as forst drafts. Then I elaborate more on my blogs.

I truly grateful your support and encouragement though these years. I especially appreciate your patience and understanding with the slow writing process and finalizing the books. I don’t like to leave by thing unfinished so I garentee that they will be finished. (As long as I’m alive, I promise to finish what I start!) I don’t write for money. I write to inspire and bring joy. I write to you and for you.

I was asked to do my first official online interview online via a blog https://authorsinterviews.wordpress.com/ owned by Fiona Mcvie… She is a very nice woman who interviews many authors. I am super excited about this. As well as humbled, nervous and encouraged about getting my story out there…☺️

The Blog interview has been published! I’m nervous…

Please Enjoy… Check it out there. 💕

I also want to share it here…

Hello and welcome to my blog, Author Interviews. My name is Fiona Mcvie.

41301853_1557621057671239_5575082174018748416_o

Let’s get you introduced to everyone, shall we? Tell us your name.

Hello, I am Amy Jane Sandberg, Nice to meet you! Thank you for this awesome opportunity! I’m a writer and an indie published author. I joke about bleeding ink to my friends, because if I could I would always be writing. As my friend, Arthur pointed out I am one hundred percent unique and proud of it. I’m easy going, down to earth, annoyingly positive as some say, and always kind.

What is your age?

Amy Jane: Such a personal question for a lady. *giggles* I am Thirty-Seven. The only reason I am being open and honest is because I wasn’t supposed to live. Which is what my book “God Supplies and Miracles Happen” is all about. You could say my age is a testament to that.

Fiona: Where are you from?

Amy Jane: I was born in the Northwest United States. Yet, I grew up in Florida. I lived there until NASA ended the Space Shuttle program and I moved back to the Northwest.

Fiona: A little about your self (ie, your education, family life, etc.).

Amy Jane: I was born with a congenital heart defect ‘Truncus Arteriosus’. That limited my life in many ways. However, it did not stop me from getting a degree in International business and having various job experiences. Such as: Babysitter, Nanny, Hostess, CNA, Security Guard, Maid, Jewelry crafter, Bird Toymaker, Hamster breeder, Pet sitter, website builder and more. I have also been CEO at Sitters on Call and is still a CEO A Novel Life. LLC. I have wonderful supportive family and friends who keep me going and inspire me daily.

Fiona: Tell us your latest news.

Amy Jane: Due to family health issues I have had to put my books to the side, I do work on them several times a week, but not as much as I would like to. My family is worth it though, they have always been there for me. Thus I will be there for them too. Besides that, I am planning on finishing at least one book this year. “Deeply Rooted in Him” and possibly some yet to be titled fictions. I hope to possibly be attending some book events next year.

Fiona: When and why did you begin writing?

Amy Jane: I have always had an imagination. Mix that with my love of writing and you get an endeavoring author. I started writing I guess I would say when I got my first diary, so age nine? Since then I have written short stories, poems, blogs, newsletter articles, letters, and books.

Fiona: When did you first consider yourself a writer?

Amy Jane: I’ve considered myself a writer since I held my first pencil and wrote my first story. As for the title author… I think I would like to get some more books out there to feel comfortable with that title. although, I wonder if one can ever feel brave enough to call ones’ self that.

Fiona: What inspired you to write your first book?

Amy Jane: I wanted to inspire others and make people smile with my imagination.(The book I published is not the first book I started writing. Unfortunately, I lost that many years ago.) The first book I published I was asked to write for a larger book with a collection of stories like mine from around the world. I said yes because my story is about love and survival. I wanted people not to give up hope. I felt that story was to short and I needed to elaborate and expand the details… Thus I wrote the book “God Supplies and Miracles Happen”.

Fiona: How did you come up with the title?

Amy Jane: The title “God Supplies and Miracles Happen” was part of a sentence in the last chapter of the book. It really seemed to get the point of the story across. Simple, straight forward and to the point.

Fiona: Do you have a specific writing style? Is there anything about your style or genre that you find particularly challenging?

Amy Jane: I think everyone has their own writing style. For my non-fiction and faith books, I like to write as if I am talking to the reader. Because really that is the purpose of those books. As for my fictions to come – I wouldn’t know how to describe that. I just write from the heart and follow my characters stories with them.

Fiona: How much of the book is realistic and are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?

Amy Jane: “God Supplies and Miracles Happen” is completely factual and a very short summary of my life. It is personal and was very hard to write. Yet, not as hard as the full story that I am currently working on. So please keep that in mind when you read it.

Fiona: To craft your works, do you have to travel? Before or during the process?

Amy Jane: Since I have been to many places already I would say no. Although I have only lived in a few states in the USA. I have had the pleasure of taking many road trips across the beautiful country exploring its spender and its silly quirks. Including the imaginative world, we authors tend to call home. Thus, I have plenty to go on.

Fiona: Who designed the covers?

Amy Jane: The first edition book cover I created myself. For the second edition, I had a hard time finding someone who would create a Faith-based cover for me. Then a fellow author and dear friend suggested Jay Jay of “JJDesignsCreations” at www.facebook.com/JJDesignsCreations. Jay Jay later told me that my book cover was her first book cover and since then she’s done may cover for various authors. I am pleased to say She joined my team and has been working with me on various projects since.

Fiona: Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?

Amy Jane: That there is hope and you are never alone. That no matter what you suffer though you can survive it. You will be stronger for the trials of life. “You are a living miracle” I also hope that you find a connection with God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Know that you are loved. I would never force my faith on you. I believe it is a personal walk for everyone.

Fiona: Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest? Who is your favorite writer, and what is it about their work that really strikes you?

Amy Jane: That’s a hard one. I love to read but I have been lacking in time. I can tell you the ones that left the largest impact in the past: C.S Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Jane Austin, and Louisa May Alcott. Currently: the ones who have touched my heart: Sherry Ficklin, Stephenie Meyer, Cindy Woodsmall, and Beth Wiseman, Leslie McAdam, Sarah Strohmeyer, and Max Lucado, and more I can’t remember the name of at this moment.

Fiona: Outside of family members, name one entity that supported your commitment to become a published author.

Amy Jane: The non-family people who believed in me the most when I was about to give up were the Voice actor’s. “Christine Cavanagh” who was a huge inspiration to me as a pen pal before she passed away. “Scott McNeil” who I met at a convention I worked, who encouraged me encouraged me throughout the whole event promising to buy my books. Then there is “JJ’s Design and Creations”, who I already mentioned. My Editor Sara Tassill and Jim Tobin writing Coach.

Fiona: Do you see writing as a career?

Amy Jane: Right now, it’s more a hobby and dream. However, I would love for it to become a career. That would be a dream come true.

Fiona: If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?

Amy Jane: Nope, I already updated it from the first edition. I am really pleased with how it turned out.

Fiona: Did you learn anything during the writing of your recent book?

Amy Jane: Yes, I learned my dad’s and family’s point of view on the whole situation which they had not told me before. I learned how hard it is to follow your dreams when there is so much going on against you and around you. I learned how amazing it feels to see that dream finally achieved. I learned the ins and outs of self-publishing along with the value of doing it yourself vs having a publisher.

Fiona: If your book was made into a film, who would you like to play the lead?

Amy Jane: I would rather see the larger book with various points of view and more details of my life as I grew up. Full of events that I didn’t touch base on in “God Supplies and Miracles Happen”. (It’s a work in progress with no set title yet…) My editor thinks Amy Schumer would be perfect for the role. I kind of always thought I would like to see Amy Adams… I laugh at how they are both named Amy as well. That was not why I choose them though. I think they would both be a great choice. I really enjoy their acting skills.

Fiona: Any advice for other writers?

Amy Jane: 1. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication. If you want to write you have to be willing to put in the time necessary. 2. Don’t rush your work, if you’re not happy with it keep at it until you are. It’s your baby your project and it represents you. Readers can tell when a book is rushed. 3. Make sure you save money because it takes money to make money… Especially if you are self-publishing the book. 4. Last but not least, writers block… It helps to read through what you already wrote, but I found the only sure way to get through writer’s block is to keep writing… Write a letter, a sentence, or a silly note… Just write… I have a Facebook group for inspiring authors where we support each other called “Pens of love” if interested.

Fiona: Anything specific you want to tell your readers?

Amy Jane: Don’t ever give up on your dream whatever it is. Nothing in life worth having comes easy. The harder you work for something the more it means when you achieve it.

Fiona: What book are you reading now?

Amy Jane: I am reading several books right now and switch between them depending on my mood: “Losing Logan” by Sherry Ficklen; “Kingdom of Honor” by Tricia Copeland; “Genesis” by Kristie Cook; “The Cinderella Pact” by Sarah Stohmeyer; “The Enchantress” by James Maxwell; “Into Nothing” by BT Urruela; and “The Holy Bible – King James Version.

Fiona: Do you remember the first book you read?

Amy Jane: Honestly no. However, the first books I do remember reading was “Fun with Dick and Jane” and the precious moments children’s Bible my parents got me.

Fiona: What makes you laugh/cry?

Amy Jane: Oh my… This interview…. *Giggles* Seriously, too many things. I seem to be pretty emotional nowadays. I’m pretty empathetic and soft-hearted so I get easily moved. I tend to love books and programs on tv that make an effort to move your emotions and tell complex stories…

Fiona: Is there one person, past or present, you would love to meet? Why?

Amy Jane: I would love to meet Amy Adams, she is really talented and inspiring. I think it would be really fun to be friends with her.

Fiona: Do you have any hobbies?

Amy Jane: I dabble in lots of things. I have been short on time, besides the obvious writing. I like to do 5D diamond paintings, adult coloring books, reading, traveling, and spending time with people in my life.

Fiona: What TV shows/films do you enjoy watching?

Amy Jane: I really like Marvel, DC, and other comic-based shows. Korean, Chinese, and Japanese dramas. I also like crime solving shows like NCIS, Mysteries of Laura, Diagnosis Murder, and Castle. I watch just about everything except horror. I have been hooked on the show called “Jane the Virgin” as of Late.

Fiona: Favourite foods, colors, music?

Amy Jane: You can never go wrong with tacos! I also love mac and cheese, grilled cheese, grilled chicken, most pasta, and steak… I don’t eat carbs much anymore though. I have always loved most colors, I tend to favor blue and green though. If you have to be technical my most favored is Rainforest blue the Crayola crayon…

Fiona: Imagine a future where you no longer write. What would you do?

Amy Jane: Tell stories. I would probably be running A. Novel Life. LLC and helping others as I do now.

Fiona: You only have 24 hours to live how would you spend that time?

Amy Jane: With those I most loved just being together talking and just relaxing. People are important nothing else matters as much. That is my personal opinion after years of reflection.

Fiona: What do you want to be written on your headstone?

Amy Jane: “She changed the world with her heart.” John 10:10

Fiona: Do you have a blog or website readers can visit for updates, events and special offers?

Out of the Comfort zone?

Time flies so fast, choices are made, roads are traveled, plans, and dreams are made. “LIFE happens while you’re making other plans”-Unknown

I first saw that quote in the movie “Kuffs” it is a truth that is more real over the past years than it has ever been in my life. Don’t let disappointments broken plans and broken dreams get you down because God’s got a plan. Do your best and make the most of every opportunity. Don’t have regrets follow your heart and listen to God. Don’t overthink because that’s a sure way to get stressed out emotional and crash.

I know from experience. 4 years ago I took a huge leap of faith and moved across country I let go of the reins and I let God start guiding me completely it hasn’t been the easiest road but it sure has been a wild adventure and I look forward to what God has for me in the future. “All things work for good for those who love the Lord” -Romans 8:28 hold on to that when the going gets tough and remember you are never alone!
